Roof 360°

Over time roofs collect moss, algae and debris.
Many roofs don’t need replacing. In many cases they simply need the right restoration approach.
At Exterior360 Ltd, we restore roofs using safe professional methods that protect the tiles and the structure of the roof.
We offer two main methods depending on the property and the homeowner’s preference:

Our aim is simple — restore the roof properly while protecting the tiles and the property.

We regularly carry out roof restoration across Essex including Maldon, Burnham-on-Crouch, Mersea Island, Tiptree, Witham, Chelmsford, Colchester, South Woodham Ferrers, Wickford, Brentwood, Basildon and Southend, along with many surrounding villages.

Dry Roof Restoration

Dry Scrape + Biocide Treatment

This is a method we are using more and more often, especially where homeowners want the roof to keep a natural appearance.

Moss is carefully dry scraped by hand using specialist tools shaped to match the roof tiles.

Because we work from a spider lift, we can see the roof clearly and remove moss properly.

As we work, debris is blown away so we can clearly see the tiles and inspect our work.

Once complete, we apply a professional biocide treatment which kills remaining spores and slows moss regrowth.

Safe Roof Steam Cleaning

Some homeowners prefer their roof to look as clean as possible immediately. In these cases we use controlled roof steam cleaning.

Steam cleaning uses low pressure and heat rather than aggressive pressure washing.

Our system normally operates between 60–80 bar, far lower than traditional pressure washing. The system can reach around 150°C, although we usually operate around 100°C, which provides excellent cleaning while maintaining good visibility.

Our Steam Cleaning Equipment

Our system is mounted on a custom-built trailer designed specifically for roof steam cleaning.

The trailer carries everything needed for the job, so we simply pull up, connect to your water supply and begin work.

Because the equipment remains on the trailer, there are no machines scattered across your lawn or driveway.

The system allows two operators to work continuously, helping the work move along efficiently.

Solar Panel Cleaning

If your roof has solar panels, they are cleaned carefully by hand.

Working from the spider lift allows us to clean around the frames and remove bird mess or dirt properly.

Solar panels are included within the roof price rather than charged separately.

We can also install solar panel bird proofing if required.

Safe Access - Why We Use Spider Lifts

At Exterior 360° Ltd we never walk across roofs.

Walking on tiles can weaken them and increase the risk of damage.

Instead we use a spider lift, which allows us to work safely and see the roof properly.

When roofs are cleaned from gutter height or scaffolding it is often impossible to see the three or four rows of tiles just below the ridge.

From the ground they can look clean, but when viewed properly they often still contain moss.

Working from a spider lift allows us to see the tiles face-to-face, ensuring nothing is missed.

Why Homeowners Choose Exterior 360° Ltd
